• Teen arrested in connection with south Charlotte shooting death

    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have made an arrest in the shooting death of a teenager in south Charlotte this past weekend.

    Christian Pena, 18, now faces accessory after the fact of a felony charges, but it's not clear yet what his role was in Saturday night's shooting outside Carriage Square Shopping Center on Old Pineville Road.

    Officers have not released the victim's name and investigators haven't said what led to the shooting, but say the investigation is ongoing.
