WAXHAW, N.C. — A student was arrested Thursday on felony charges for making threats toward Marvin Ridge High School in Waxhaw, authorities said.

The 16-year-old boy was accused of making "a threat of mass violence on educational property based upon comments and statements he allegedly made to other students," the Union County Sheriff's Office said.
