Teen killed in Richmond Co. crash

ROCKINGHAM, N.C. — Police in Rockingham are investigating an accident that claimed the life of a teenage girl.

Officials said Allison Butler, 18, was killed when she was thrown from the car she was riding in.

Investigators said Mikayla Boone, 17, was driving the car.

Authorities said speed may have been a factor in the accident.
