CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Charlotte's 40th annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service was held Tuesday night at the historic St. Paul Baptist Church on Allen Street.
The event welcomed people from all faiths and backgrounds to pray for peace.

The service was sponsored by MeckMin, a coalition of nearly 100 houses of worship and the theme was Wilderness & Hope.
The speaker was Rev. Todd Yeary, a senior pastor of Douglas Memorial Community Church in Baltimore.
Last year's service drew in 1,500 people.
