While air travel is a remarkable feat, it also can provide headaches. One such frustration to many travelers is when their luggage gets misplaced, damaged or delayed.

And the list of offending airlines includes larger ones such as American Airlines and Southwest Airlines as well as smaller carriers such as Alaska Airlines.
U.S. airlines have a range of results when it comes to passengers filing reports of mishandled baggage, according to a report from the U.S. Department of Transportation, which examined the percentage of mishandled baggage in May of 2018. Its Air Travel Consumer Report was recently released.
