Third arrest made in armed robbery of business owner

CLEVELAND COUNTY, N.C. — According to the Cleveland County Sheriff's Office, the third suspect involved in an armed robbery of a business owner has been arrested more than one month after the crime occurred.

Sheriff Alan Norman said Chad Davis, 32, is one of four who committed the robbery at a business between Casar and Belwood in early October.

According to officers, the group robbed a man at gunpoint, taking his cash and cell phone.

Norman said Davis was arrested in Lincoln County on Thanksgiving and charged with conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Davis is being held at the Cleveland County Detention Center on a $10,500 bond.

Davis is the third suspect arrested in the robbery.

Norman said officers are still on the lookout for Debra Suzanne Moore, 34, of Deerwood Trail in Vale.

Already arrested are Mildred Marie Johnson, 23, of Vic Randall Road in Lawndale; Steven Daniel Harrison, 23, of Miller Bridge Road in Connelly Springs; and Jacob Todd Hoyle, 30, of Vale.
