Traffic crash leads to argument, man shot in southeast Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for a man who shot another person following a traffic accident Saturday morning.

Police said a man, described as a young black male with dreadlocks, struck another car in a parking lot just before 2:30 a.m. on Monroe Road in southeast Charlotte.

The victim told police that the driver of a black Chevrolet Camaro returned to the scene, got out of the car along with a passenger and got into an argument with the victim, which ended with the suspect firing a shot at the victim.

The victim was shot in the abdomen, and the gunman and his passenger took off.

The victim’s injuries were not serious, police said.
