CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A person driving the wrong way on Interstate 77 is in critical condition Monday morning after hitting a tractor-trailer truck, troopers said.
The crash happened at about 2:30 a.m. on I-77 south at Lasalle Street.
The driver of the car was ejected, but the driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured, officials said.
Troopers shut down lanes around the crash for hours, but all lanes have now reopened.
