• Troopers: 19-year-old dies after hitting tree in York Co.

    YORK COUNTY, S.C. - A 19-year-old man was killed when police said he crashed into a tree in York County.

    Troopers said Michael Howard was driving on Russell Road around 10:30 p.m. when he lost control.

    Howard was not wearing a seatbelt and was thrown from the car, police said.

    Police said the crash occurred near Howard's home.
