CHESTERFIELD COUNTY, S.C. — Two people died in a head-on crash early Saturday morning in Chesterfield County, troopers said.
The crash happened at 1:40 a.m. on SC Highway 9 near Taylor Chapel Road, about a mile and a half west of Mount Croghan.
Troopers said the driver of a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado, driving west on Highway 9, crossed over the center line and slammed head-on into a 2004 Ford Ranger.
Both drivers died at the scene, troopers said. The person driving the Ford was not wearing a seatbelt.
The driver’s identities have not yet been released.
