Troopers seek SUV in Caldwell Co. hit-and-run

CALDWELL COUNTY, N.C. — Troopers are searching for the driver who crashed into a scooter in Caldwell County and fled.
 
Officials said it happened at about 6:30 p.m. Tuesday on U.S. Highway 321 between the Catawba River Bridge and Grace Chapel Road.
 
Troopers said they believe the vehicle that hit the scooter was a smaller, dark green SUV.
 
The two people on the scooter suffered serious injuries including a broken leg.
 
Anyone with information is asked to call the authorities.
