UNCC football player arrested

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A UNC Charlotte football player was arrested Sunday and is facing drug charges.

Redshirt freshman Alan Barnwell was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and driving with a revoked license.

Officers said they pulled the running back over in the University City area.

Head coach Brad Lambert said Barnwell will be disciplined for violating team rules.
