UNCC police search for man after woman sexually assaulted on campus

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The University of North Carolina at Charlotte campus police are searching for a man who sexually assaulted a woman on campus.

The police sent an alert to students after 5 p.m. Wednesday, saying a man followed the victim into a women’s bathroom in the Fretwell Building and attacked her.

The attacker is described as a white man in his 20s, about 5 feet and 10 or 11 inches tall with a medium build, dark hair and no facial hair.

The woman said he was wearing a gray UNCC hoodie and sweatpants and smelled of cigarette smoke.
