Jack Siegel survived the shooting and marched at the End the Violence rally in Raleigh.
While some people at the rally were pushing for required registration and information for all gun owners, Siegel said he doesn't want any radical or specific changes.
“We just want to see action. Any kind of action. We want to see compromise and progress made toward a solution, not just idly yelling at each other," said Siegel.
He said gun ownership is a huge responsibility and the government should spend more money to educate people about gun safety.
UNCC's chancellor called the tragic shooting on April 30 the "darkest day" in the university's history.
