Upscale French restaurant coming to new uptown tower

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — This restaurant will bring a little international flavor to uptown Charlotte.

La Belle Helene is targeting mid-summer for a soft opening at 300 South Tryon.

That roughly 7,000-square-foot upscale French brasserie will deliver a touch of France through its menu and overall vibe, says Brian Poplin, president and chief executive of Elior North America.

“My goal when you walk in is that you’re transported into the heart of a brasserie in Paris,” he says.

Elior is headquartered in the Tryon Street building. It also is parent to Starr Catering Group, which will operate La Belle Helene.
