U.S. Bank looks ahead to continued expansion in Charlotte area

U.S. Bancorp recently celebrated the official opening of its third Charlotte-area branch — another step forward in its retail expansion here. The bank is looking to announce another one or two local branches in 2022, said Dee O’Dell, east regional executive for consumer and business banking.

“It’s really about finding the right sites,” O’Dell said. “We are continuing to consider a number of other options that we have in other parts of the greater Charlotte area as we think about filling out our complete branch strategy here.”

O’Dell said U.S. Bank is in regular talks about property options.
