ANDERSON, S.C. — More than 20 U.S. flags were stolen and burned at a South Carolina cemetery honoring veterans on the Fourth of July.

Police in Anderson are trying to find the people responsible for the crime.
"I would like an explanation,” Anderson resident Kristi Pulliam said. “I mean, why would you do that? Why would you degrade or disrespect our veterans?"
The fire did not spread to the rest of the cemetery.
