‘Very Grateful’: Families relieved those with high-risk conditions now prioritized to get vaccine

CHARLOTTE — Many families found relief after Gov. Roy Cooper announced the state would move the eligibility date for the COVID-19 vaccine up to March 17.

People with underlying conditions can now get the shot.

“I’m just glad the governor changed his mind,” parent Missy Hill said.

Hill has done everything to protect her daughter Katie, who has Down syndrome.

“We are very thankful,” Hill said.
