Warrant: Dog found possibility of human remains in Erica Parsons search

ROWAN COUNTY, N.C. — A search warrant states a cadaver dog has found the possibility of human remains in connection with the search for a missing Rowan County teen.

Channel 9 obtained the search warrant filed late Monday at the Rowan County courthouse.

According to the documents, the FBI and Sheriff's Office brought a cadaver dog to the home of Erica Parsons' adoptive grandfather last month.

During the search, investigators say the dog hit on a corner of a red storage shed twice, indicating the possibility of human remains.

Investigators said they also seized a board from the shed and a jacket.

Parsons disappeared two years ago, although she wasn't reported missing until this summer.
