West Charlotte bakery opens pop-up after damaged in November flash floods

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — A west Charlotte bakery has recovered from flooding that nearly wiped out its business.

Back in November 2020, the Batch House was damaged in a flash flood, and customers and nearby businesses helped the owner get through.

On Saturday, the bakery entered into a new chapter -- it opened a pop-up where it plans to have a new location.

“One of the things I love about Charlotte is the sense of community here. It was so cool to show up and see a line down the street to be so supportive to a local business,” a Charlotte resident said.
