RALEIGH — The Triangle reigon's trifecta of top-ranked universities — Duke University, N.C. State University and UNC Chapel Hill — are among the best in the country when it comes to having low levels of student debt, per a recent ranking. That ranking also includes one Charlotte-area college.

According to an annual report by financial-services website LendEdu, those three universities and Davidson College — about 22 miles north of Charlotte — ranked among the country's top 250 schools with the lowest average student debt per borrower.
The report ranked the 250 colleges and universities with the highest and lowest student debt based on financial aid data collected from nearly 1,000 public and private institutions of higher education.
