• Windshield shot out by crossbow, police say

    GASTONIA, N.C. - Gastonia police are trying to figure out who shot an arrow from a crossbow through a car windshield.
     
    The incident happened at about 9 p.m. Thursday on the 1200 block of Candlewood Drive, according to a police report.
     
    No one was injured.
     
    Police said there is around $250 worth of damage to the car.
