Woman gets full refund after skimmer stole $700

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Seluleta Glenn fell victim to ATM skimming at the Cashpoints on Eastway Drive, but she said her credit card company, Direct Express, didn’t believe her.

The skimmer stole $700 from Glenn’s account.

"I'm a single mom taking care of four kids," Glenn said.

Direct Express said the loss of funds was her responsibility.

"Really upsetting, because that's not a little bit of money to sweep up underneath the rug," Glenn said.

She contacted Action 9 investigator Jason Stoogenke for help.

Stoogenke emailed the State Employees Credit Union, which runs Cashpoints ATMs, and the credit union said there was a skimmer on the ATM.

Stoogenke told Comerica, which is the bank that operates Direct Express, and it gave Glenn a refund.
