CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Police are looking for the person they said shot a woman in the chest overnight in east Charlotte.
Officers were called just after 12:30 a.m. to the Ashley Place Apartments on Idlewild Road and found the woman inside one of the apartments.
Medic took her to the hospital with life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have been made and police have not released a suspect description.
No other details surrounding the shooting have been released.
