Woman says she spent hundreds of dollars on hair but it wasn’t good quality

CHARLOTTE — Chassey McKinley ordered hair on a website she’s used before, Herimportsusa.com, which cost her $283.

“The quality of the hair was horrible,” she said. “The texture was wrong. The curl pattern that I ordered was wrong, and it just didn’t feel right.”

She hoped that when her stylist put the hair in, it would look better.

“It didn’t look good, and I’d like for my hair to look nice,” she said.

She removed the hair and complained to the company.

“I had to call for days, back to back, just for them to offer any solution,” McKinley said. “When they did offer a solution, it wasn’t a great one.”

She said the business offered her a $200 credit.

McKinley emailed Action 9′s Jason Stoogenke and told him that she didn’t want the rest of the money back.

She only wanted the hair she expected.

Stoogenke emailed the company that didn’t give many details on what happened.

People with Herimportsua.com said there was a “miscommunication in [its] customer service department,” and sent McKinley new hair.

“And since you guys contacted them, they didn’t just send me what I ordered, they sent me something better,” she told Stoogenke. “It’s beautiful. I’m extremely excited.”
