CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The top weather storyline Thursday will be the sensational conditions that will last for a few days, as the Charlotte region will not have to deal with much heat or humidity.

The temperatures will slowly be picking up, but we will not be getting back to August standards until the weekend.

The skies will be clear Thursday afternoon and low dew points will make it feel fantastic outside. Temperatures will be up in the mid-80s later in the day.

Severe Weather Center 9 will be tracking a weak cold front that will approach later Thursday night and Friday morning. A shower or two will be possible, but rain chances should remain quite low.

Temps will climb back into the 90s for the weekend. It will feel like 95 degrees Sunday but it the area will remain storm free.
