More than 100 animals seized at NC residence

BELVILLE, N.C. — (AP) Authorities have seized more than 100 animals, including dogs, ducks and birds from a home in Belville in Brunswick County.

Authorities say 10 dogs and about 100 ducks and other birds were taken from the home Tuesday. The Humane Society says that some of the cages had rotting eggs in the bottom.

Sheriff's deputies say that 33-year-old Mary Eva Faith Stoltz has been jailed on 10 counts of animal cruelty. It was not immediately clear if she had an attorney.
