• No rain, but bitter cold temps sticking around Tuesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The bitter cold temperatures that gripped Charlotte Tuesday morning will be sticking around throughout the afternoon and into the evening.

Highs will barely reach the 40s Tuesday afternoon as more high clouds return. Dry weather will remain though for the next few days.

The next chance of moisture appears to be getting pushed later into Thursday and farther southeast of Charlotte. If this is the case, there is less likelihood of any wintry weather -- even for the mountains.

We’ll have to see if this is a trend in the models or just a minor shift. Either way, warmer and drier weather will return for the weekend, with highs expected to climb into the 70s.
