NC teacher accused of sending inappropriate photos, videos to students

JACKSONVILLE, N.C. — A former North Carolina teacher faces charges in connection with the sharing of inappropriate photos and videos of herself, authorities said

Onslow County court officials said Monday that Ashley Henson Beasley, 32, remained behind bars Monday on $80,000 bond. Her court-appointed attorney had not been named yet.

The sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post Friday that Beasley was charged with two counts each of indecent liberties with a child and indecent liberties with a student by a teacher, a felony. An anonymous tip led authorities to investigate Beasley, the post said.

It said the inappropriate relationships involved two 14-year-old male students. Beasley, of Stella, taught at Hunters Creek Middle School in Jacksonville.

Onslow County Schools officials told media outlets that Beasley resigned and gave up her teaching license effective Thursday.
