SANFORD — A police officer is recovering after being shot while responding to a call.
Authorities say two officers were shot at around 11:30 p.m. Saturday in Sanford. One officer was hit in the thigh, the other was not hurt.
Two suspects were also shot. One of them is 19-year-old Darrell Hill, who authorities say has been charged with attempted murder. The name of the second suspect has not been released.
