Burlington County prosecutors say Christopher Teeter must serve nearly 19 years before he becomes eligible for parole. The 42-year-old Wilmington, North Carolina man had been convicted in August on attempted murder, aggravated assault and weapons charges.
The October 2018 attack occurred at a truck stop in Bordentown Township.
Teeter and his colleague, a 42-year-old Decatur, Georgia man, had been sharing driving duties on their trip. When their argument turned physical, authorities say Teeter stabbed the other man in the abdomen.
The injured man underwent emergency surgery and has since recovered from his wounds.
