Rain moves out as sun, warm temps arrive Wednesday

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — After a wet, chilly early morning, drier weather is already filtering into the Charlotte area.

The sun will shine for the rest of the day and this will warm temperatures back up. Highs will at least reach the lower 60s, but if the sun pokes through early enough, temps could reach the upper 60s.

The warm up will be short-lived though, as temps will drop to the lower 30s Wednesday night and barely reach 50 degrees Thursday.

The metro area will continue to experience dry weather for the rest of the week before rain moves in this weekend.

The rain chances aren't huge, but the possibility for shower remains -- especially on Saturday.
