CHARLOTTE, N.C. - A batch of rain moved through the Charlotte Metro area Tuesday afternoon. The rain will continue until 7 p.m. before moving east, and clear out by Tuesday night.

The weather Wednesday and Thursday will be sunny and warm before the next cold front pushes through on Friday. It is unclear how much rain will fall on Friday, but there is a 30 percent chance of rain. The rain will not be heavy, and there will be no threat for severe weather.

The weekend will bring lots of sunshine with highs around 80 on Saturday.
