CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Friday’s morning clouds kept the storms in check into the afternoon; however, showers have popped across the mountains and South Carolina midlands.

Some storms could build up later in the day after clouds dissipate.

Weekend conditions are expected to bring thunderstorms Saturday afternoon with temperatures in the mid-80s.

Those storm chances will dip slightly Sunday but rain could return in the afternoon.
