Sunshine Friday afternoon with highs in the 50s

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Black Friday shoppers out early Friday morning would have noticed the chill in the air.

It was a cold start to the day, but not quite as cold as Thursday morning.

Sunshine will stick around through Friday afternoon. The highs will break into the 50s but it will still be cool for this time of year.

Sunshine will still be around for the first part of Saturday, but clouds increase by the afternoon.

There is a possibility for a few showers late Saturday night into early Sunday. However, the area will probably stay dry, or won't notice the rain because it will be overnight and chances are low.

Sunshine returns Sunday. The weather looks good for the Panthers game, with highs in the mid-50s. A warmup is underway for next week and the area could see temperatures in the 60s by Wednesday or Thursday.
