System will bring rain, colder air to Charlotte

CHARLOTTE — Saturday evening's temperatures will be in the 60s, and there will be a few extra clouds. The viewing area will stay dry early Sunday.

Rain will return by midday Sunday and last through late afternoon. It will be light rain as this system is weak. Sunday's temperatures will remain mild with highs in the 60s. By the end of the evening cold air will begin to move in.

Temperatures will reach around 50 degrees on Monday, and be in the lower 30s as a storm develops off the coast. This system will impact the Eastern Carolinas more, but may bring a brief mix of rain and snow to the Charlotte area on Tuesday before it heads out.
