The following story has moved as this week's Monday Spotlight, a feature showcasing the best off-the-news enterprise in the AP report:

ABORTION-WHAT’S CHANGED _ There’s one common goal for the abortion bans enacted in several states this year: to trigger reversal of the Supreme Court’s 1973 Roe v. Wade decision establishing a nationwide right to abortion. Were that to happen, decisions on abortion policy would revert to the states, and many would impose bans. What would not happen is a full-fledged turning back of the clock to 1973. Women now have far more options to avoid unwanted pregnancies in the first place, and safer, easier options for abortion.
