RED FLAG LAWS _ The back-to-back massacres this month in Texas and Ohio have given new momentum to “red flag laws” that allow authorities to seize guns of dangerous people. Laws are on the books in 17 states and they are widely seen as helpful in driving down suicide rates and occasionally avoiding potential mass shootings.
