CHARLOTTE - The Charlotte area will get a break in storms on Saturday and Sunday, unlike the area saw earlier this week. Rain chances for Saturday night will be in the mountains and upstate of South Carolina. The weather will be nice in Charlotte Saturday night.

There will be a greater chance of storms Monday and Tuesday and more heat will be moving into the area next week.

Temperatures will reach the upper 80s on Sunday and Monday, but will continue to increase next week. Charlotte will reach 95 degrees Thursday.
