Temps climb back into the 90s, rain chances remain low

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — It has been a mild start to the day, with cloud cover across the region early Wednesday morning, but more sun is expected heat up temps through the afternoon.

Highs for Wednesday will climb into the low 90s. There is a slight chance for showers in the mountains but they are not expected to make their way through the Charlotte area.

Rain chances will again stay low on Thursday but it will be another hot afternoon, with temps again in the low 90s.

Changes move in Friday though, as the metro will have to deal with cloudy skies, cooler temps and scattered showers. This means fans could be dealing with wet weather for the Panthers preseason game Friday night at Bank of America Stadium.

The unsettled pattern will stick around through the weekend and temperatures will struggle to reach the 80s.
