Monday temps warmer than they will be for remainder of the week

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — The Charlotte area will be off to a pleasant start for the work week Monday, with temperatures being the main story.

Highs Monday will remain in the 60s, but that will change drastically after today.

Several waves of cold air will move into the Carolinas this week. Temps will struggle to reach 50 by Wednesday.

There are just two chances for wet weather this week -- Wednesday and Saturday.

The temps will stay in the 60s Monday but it won't be that warm again for about a week.

Temperatures in the metro will slowly warm up to the mid-to-upper 50s by the end of the weekend.
