• Tree lighting held in Uptown on Thursday


    CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Charlotte officially flipped the lights for the holidays Thursday.

    On the square at Trade and Tryon streets in Uptown, Charlotte Center City Partners organized the Christmas tree lighting, now in its 11th year.

    Parents and kids checked out the 50-foot tree and live performances.
