CNET reported that consumers with the 9.7-inch iPad Pro have complained on Apple's support forums and on Twitter about their devices being "bricked" by the update, meaning it is locked after the update and does not restart.

"(My iPad) says it needs to be plugged into iTunes," one person wrote on a MacRumors forum. "(It) won't restore or update; just a big loop."

Consumers said a restore, which tends to solve most software issues, does not solve the problem.

Although Apple has responded to some complaints on its support Twitter page, the company has not yet commented on the issue.
