According to the daughter of the restaurant's owners, workers "always" wash items in the lake water for personal use, WZTV reported. She told the television that while the drain rack and food rack are washed in lake water, food is never in "direct contact" with either item.

Health department officials are determining whether a violation has occurred, the television station reported. The restaurant's latest score from the health department, recorded July 26, was 98, WZTV reported.
