Maine man accused of operating meth lab in church playroom

BUXTON, Maine — A Maine man is behind bars after police said he was operating a meth lab in a Buxton church.

According to the Buxton Police Department and WGME-TV, officers discovered "items that are consistent with the manufacturing process of methamphetamine" Thursday in a children's playroom at Buxton United Methodist Church. Investigators then traced the lab to 33-year-old Matthew Anderson, whom they found at a nearby home and arrested on an unrelated warrant, the department said Friday in a Facebook post.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency later charged Anderson with unlawfully operating a methamphetamine lab, according to the post.
