WYOMING, Mich. — A 5-year-old called 911 with a McMergency: He asked if someone could please bring him some McDonald’s.
“Kent County 911, what's your emergency?” dispatcher Sara Kuberski said.
"Can you bring me McDonald's?" Hall asked.
"I'm sorry, what?" Kuberski said.
"Can you bring me McDonald's?" Hall again asked.
"No, I can't bring you McDonald's,” Kuberski said.
She then sent Officer Dan Patterson to check on Hall.
"I was laughing to myself," Patterson told WZZM. "(A) 5-year-old calls dispatch and orders McDonald's."
Patterson decided, since there was one on the way, to stop at McDonald’s.
He arrived at the house, but no one answered the door. He went over to the boy’s window.
"I think the first thing he said to me was, 'My grandma's gonna be so mad, can you please go away?'" Patterson told WZZM.
Patterson used the meeting as a teaching moment.
