Video shared by WVUE-TV and WDSU showed the fire burning around 12:40 p.m. local time as smoke poured out of the Superdome.

Firefighters responded to the 3-alarm fire. About 70 people were working inside the building when the fire started, though none smelled smoke, WDSU reported. Employees were evacuated, but allowed back inside after the all-clear was given at about 1:10 p.m., according to the news station.

Officials said one worker was transported from the scene with minor burns to their face, arms and chest. The person was in stable condition and expected to recover.

Crews had been power washing the roof, which was set to be painted before the Saints’ next home game on Oct. 3, according to NOLA.com and USA Today.

Doug Thornton, vice president of stadiums for ASM Global, told NOLA.com that the fire sparked in the Superdome’s “gutter tub.”

It was not immediately clear what caused the fire.
