HGTV’s Christina Anstead splits from husband after less than 2 years

Christina Anstead, of HGTV’s “Christina on the Coast," announced Friday that she and husband Ant Anstead are going their separate ways after 21 months of marriage.

“Ant and I have made the difficult decision to separate,” Christina Anstead wrote on social media. “We are grateful for each other, and as always, our children will remain our priority. We appreciate your support and ask for privacy for us and our family as we navigate the future.”

The two share one child together, Hudson Anstead, who turned 1 earlier this month.

The couple met through a mutual friend and began dating in November 2017.

They were married in a surprise ceremony in December 2018 at their home in Newport Beach, California.

Christina Anstead was previously married to Tarek El Moussa, with whom she has co-hosted home renovation show “Flip or Flop” since 2013. The two were married in 2009 and separated in May 2016 before finalizing their divorce in January 2018. They have two children together.

In July, El Moussa announced his engagement to Heather Rae Young of the reality TV show “Selling Sunset.” El Moussa said the two started living together weeks after they met.

Ant Anstead, a British TV host who also has two children from a previous marriage, announced last month that he planned to take a break from social media to focus on his wife and their blended family.

He has not yet commented publicly on the separation.
