On Thursday, a jury found Paltrow not at fault for an accident at a Deer Valley, Utah, ski resort that happened in 2016, according to The Associated Press. The courtroom testimony was live-streamed for eight days.

“I felt that acquiescing to a false claim compromised my integrity,” Paltrow said in a statement released by her representatives and obtained by the AP.

A retired optometrist, Terry Sanderson, sued Paltrow for $300,000 over injuries he said he suffered after the two crashed, according to The New York Times.

Sanderson, 76, broke four ribs and got a concussion following the crash down the slope with Paltrow, the AP reported. The $300,000 lawsuit came after an earlier $3.1 million lawsuit was dismissed.

Paltrow took the stand during the trial and insisted the crash was not her fault, the AP reported.

Jurors found Sanderson at fault for the crash, the newspaper reported.

The jury awarded Paltrow $1 which she had requested in a countersuit, the Times reported.

The trial took place in Park City, Utah which is where the Sundance Film Festival happens every year and a festival where Paltrow early on in her career made appearances for her movie premieres including “Sliding Doors,” “Shakespeare in Love,” and the “Iron Man,” the AP reported.
