New York woman sentenced to 22 years for sexually exploiting 2-year-old, officials say

ANTWERP, N.Y. — A woman from New York state has been sentenced to 22 years in prison after she and her husband pleaded guilty to charges of sexually exploiting a child, authorities said.

According to WWNY-TV, Amber Decker, 26, of Antwerp, pleaded guilty last summer to seven counts of child exploitation “for her part in the sexual exploitation and hands-on abuse of a 2-year-old child,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office of the Northern District of New York said in a news release Wednesday. After completing her prison term, Decker also must undergo 20 years of supervised release and will be added to the sex offender registry, officials said.

Decker's husband, Logan Decker, also pleaded guilty to the charges and will be sentenced next month, authorities said.

The charges stemmed from several incidents that occurred in the summer of 2018, investigators said. According to the news release, Amber Decker admitted that “while she was living in Jefferson County, New York, and her husband was located in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, she videotaped her sexual abuse of the 2-year-old and uploaded the video files to a cloud storage account for her husband to view.”
